How refreshing to find a site telling it like it is with no bull. I had never heard of the term 'skip' before. I've always called debt dodgers who escape abroad, 'debt fugitives'.

Here are some of my Debt Fugitive Friends:

Civil servants get their pensions from the state pension pot. They hide their generous pensions under the cover of the state pension pot. They always trot out the example of the civil servant on 5,000 per year to justify large % increases, then the retired politicians and senior civil servants also get them. I also note that many company executives are approaching the retirement age, and therefore they are pushing back bonuses, raises etc. to their final year, hence they can collect pensions greatly inflated by final year incomes. Unfortuneatly, they will collect pensions that are far in excess of their contributions, eventually breaking the pension providers funds. The entire executive class in the UK is now in a free for all to grab what it can, and to heck with the future, especially as most of them will move overseas away from the mess they have created.

"my strategy would have worked"
Not necessarily, it might never have gone back up to that price again. (Unlikely, but it may have taken a long time, or gone down more than £20

Totally agree. Brown and Cambell dont seem to recognize that the minority parties are going to clean up at the next election as their own politicians go through a mock election campaign to get their money and move away. Unless they win their seats, surely we are rewarding failure giving them lump sums and generous pensions. Havent they in effect been fired. If you move to hide from your creditors, make sure you dont leave any lose ends that could be used to find you. If you go overseas, dont tell people where, close your bank accounts without forwarding addresses etc. Finally, dont return for at least 6 years.
